MITA celebrated National Apprenticeship Week 2023 from 11/13 to 11/19.  Apprentices and Apprenticeships are celebrated throughout the country on this week every year. Activities take place via expos, proclamations, celebrations, trainings, etc.  MITA participated in an Expo in Moreno Valley facilitated by a consortium of folks including the City of Moreno Valley.  Our masonry instructor Patrick Justus did a hands-on demo while our Executive Director Bonnie O’Connor gave students information on apprenticeships in the masonry trade.  In addition, the board of MITA hosted pizza parties at our three training sites for our apprentices and community students in Escondido, Moreno Valley and Ontario.  It was a great opportunity to celebrate apprentices and apprenticeships.
