Events
MITA is working to plan events to raise awareness of the masonry trade, create opportunities for our members to network with one another, and raise funds to help us continue providing training and outreach programs to future masons.
Annually we host our Golf Classic held at the Victoria Country Club. Golfers, sponsors and raffle prize donors are needed. MITA will host an Apprentice Masonry Skills Challenge in October and Virtual Forums in September with the Riverside County Office of Education!

Programs in the Planning Stages!
The following are new events that are in the planning stages. If you would like to volunteer for one of our committees, or for our Speaker’s Bureau, email us today!
Masonry Education Day – The plan is for a one-day event hosted by MITA working in collaboration with various high schools in the target area where the event will be held. Stations will be set up that will provide a hands-on viewing for masonry products, bricklaying, block laying, tuck pointing, and much more! Students will be bused in and separated into smaller groups. The groups will then be led by masonry contractors as they take them through the stations. Lunch will be a BBQ staffed by masonry contractors. MITA is in process of setting up a planning committee and reaching out to members!
Masonry Day Events – These events are held at area high schools and consist of a presentation on masonry history and jobs, and whenever possible a hands-on demonstration. MITA is looking for masons willing to be speakers. We would then coordinate a speaker to a school site that is near to the speaker’s home or work. The more masons we have on board, the more presentations we can do, and the more students we can reach!! For more information, contact Bonnie at bonnie@trainmason.org.
Brick, Block and Brews – Social events for MITA members. We are looking to host an event in each of our service areas: Los Angeles, San Diego, Imperial, Riverside, San Bernardino and Orange County at local breweries. We are looking for MITA members to serve on this committee and help us get a test event off the ground in late 2022!
