MITA Summer Bootcamp Moreno Valley

MITA kicked off the summer masonry bootcamp series on June 20th in Moreno Valley. 24 enrolled and 17 made it to the first day and finished 60 hours later on 7/3/24. All of the students were outstanding. Zaida, Aaron and Oliver hope to join the apprentice program in August, and a few others who are 17, and have one more year of school, plan to stay connected with the hope of entering the program in 2025. The students were all from different high schools with many different backgrounds and hobbies. Oscar plays soccer, Zaida enjoys creative writing, Elijah plays the guitar, Aaron has a black belt in Karate, Nolan had experience with sandblasting and concrete with his dad. At the camp they formed friendships and had a chance to learn first-hand a little bit about the trade.
