Valley High School masonry students in Escondido Union High School District volunteered as tenders at the SoCal Masonry Skills Challenge hosted by RCP Block & Brick in San Diego. Masonry Instructor Alex Lopez defines how the trainees learn job-ready skills as a pathway to careers. “We want to get them into Apprenticeship as soon as we can,” said Lopez, “and getting individuals into the construction field is our main objective.”  Hear it from the students, they’re super excited to get this experience.
