Your MITA apprentices at World of Concrete represent the best of California having won their Regionals. 1st year Cristian Lopez, and 2nd year Fernando Gonzalez, took on their challenge to build a never-seen-before project in a 3 hour timed event. Feeling the pressure?? The Judges are watching, and scoring, and media cameras are rolling on you!
WHO’S THE FASTEST TROWEL ON THE BLOCK?
They call it the “toughest 20 minutes in masonry”, and it offers $8,000 to the winners. Representing the best in the State of California (again!) are MITA Journeyman Howard Cole and MITA Apprentice Martin Avendano competing at World of Concrete Fastest Trowel on the Block. Moving fast in the Masonry Madness, see them in action below…and you’ll hear it…the crowd was packed!

MITA/CFLC Rubidoux YOC Pre-apprentices Masonry Youth partnered with Habitat for Humanity to construct a fence for one of the Veteran Homes in the Riverside area. The Youth continue their training at the CFLC Rubidoux YOC and have begun a new project with a neighboring Partner to construct a cinderblock and cement ramp.
