Top Notch Trowel 2018 Results

May 12, 2018 – The 19th Annual Top Notch Trowel & Jim Broncatello Perpetual Trophy challenged high school masonry students to build projects in 4 divisions of competition: Straight lead, sample panel, corner lead, and 8 ft. long wall. Held at Boys Republic School in Chino Hills and Instructor Steve Perez, it was perfect weather for this outdoor skills competition.

MITA member suppliers and contractors, journeymen and instructors showed their support being there and participating as judges, donating their time along with sponsors donating prizes. All helping to train younger masons for the future of our industry!

VIP Jim Broncatello (the man behind the trophy), was there in person to share the history of launching the Perpetual Trophy event, now celebrating 19 years of annual competition!
